We've been running music events at the Farnham Pottery since 2018, more than 70 shows, hundreds of performers. Here are some of the highlights.

Our Story

Both Peter Crutchfield and I are working singer songwriters. Our paths crossed in 2016 and it turned out we had similar, often difficult experiences of performing at the local level with one notable exception. Our mutual friend Gavin Thomas runs a very successful weekly event called the GT Sessions for which a small number of invited artists each deliver a short set on a stage which is properly lit, with a sound system that is properly engineered, an MC to marshal the show to an audience that is respectful of and focussed on their performance.

When Peter was considering the launch of a music event at the Farnham Pottery he invited me to help and we agreed that the GT Sessions should be the model with one major exception.  Our venue had to be paid for, so we needed to charge for tickets. We were nervous about this, but we needn't have worried, from the very first gig in February 2018, our wonderful audience turned out in droves and this presented an opportunity. Firstly it allows us to pay the artists, not a huge sum but something and that's almost unique in this world. Secondly it allows us to support a local charity, Creative Response which provides art based therapy for those in need. So far we are proud to have raised over £10,000.
